Wrinkle Fill
Continuous hygiene care is essential to maintaining a healthy looking skin, yet everyone is susceptible to the consequences of aging. The process alters the epidermis on both the surface and deeper layers, leading to the formation of wrinkles and expression marks. The Wrinkle and Groove Bioplasty seeks to reduce the signs and folds left over time by filling techniques using biomaterials.
The procedure serves to add mass to areas of the face and also the rest of the body, and may even influence their shape and harmony. However, the primary objective is to interfere in regions in which significant tissue loss has occurred over time to restore the harmonic aspects of the physiognomy.
Wrinkle Bioplasty uses a definitive product called polymethyl methacrylate, better known by the acronym PMMA. Because it has small spheres, it remains where it was applied without risk of migration to adjacent spaces. The operation is minimally invasive, lasting only about 30 to 60 minutes, using local anesthesia only on the treated surface.
It is injected with the help of a microcranula, a type of needle that prevents neurovascular damage. It is usually applied about 30% to the deepest tissues, 10% to the fatty tissue and only 2% to the most superficial layers of the skin. Patients undergo a short recovery period and can quickly return to their routine activities with only mild sensitivity in the treated area.
